My112 Copilot: user guide#

Version 0.5.2 for Android (iPhone version coming soon), October 2026

🚓 In one sentence: My112 Copilot is the navigation app for police and emergency operators, by car and motorbike, with the 📁 Call-out archive (notes dictated by voice, with times, photos and videos), 📞 quick calls and 📍 location sharing.

⚠️ Important. My112 Copilot is a driving aid: it does not replace official procedures or the service radio. It is an independent, unofficial app, not connected to the 112 single emergency number.

💡 Your ideas matter. The app is still young: if you have an idea or something is missing, write to us from the app, ⚙ Settings → 💡 Suggest an improvement; for errors use 🐞 Report a problem. Type or dictate, tap Send and the message goes straight to the developer.

✨ What's new in 0.5.2#

• 💾 Sketch on the PC: Save as and Open. In the PC editor Save as… creates a .my112schizzo file on the PC or on a USB stick, optionally protected by a password; Open… reopens a .my112schizzo file, the phone's schizzo.json or a scene from the “incidenti” program.
• 📐 Sketch templates. With Templates… and Save as default you keep starting drawings (e.g. a T-junction) and data ready to reuse. Templates are stored in the encrypted archive and also reach the phone: opening ✏️ Sketch in a note without a drawing shows 📐 Default template from the PC, with Use template or Start blank.

✨ What's new in 0.5.1#

• ✏️ Full sketch editor on the PC: layers, dimensions, road signs, photos alongside and linked to points, accident data; PNG and A4 and A3 PDFs made in the browser, which go back to the phone with the sketch.

✨ What's new in 0.5.0#

• 🖥️ Link a PC: from ⚙ Settings → 🖥️ Link a PC (or the 🖥️ PC button in the Archive) you link the office PC at the fixed address autorobotcopilot.web.app/my112/pc, with the QR code and a 6-digit comparison. The PC sees the whole archive, edits it, creates new notes and sends them back to you. Everything is end-to-end encrypted. See chapter 14.
• 🔄 Automatic sync while the app is open, with a progress bar; with 🚫 Don't send to PC a note stays on the phone only.
• 👥 The link with a code for a single note is now called 👥 Share with a colleague.

• 🖥️ Continue on PC: from a call-out note you create a link and a code to open it on the PC, with the advanced sketch editor and export to Word, PDF and ZIP; changes made on the PC come back to the note. End-to-end encrypted. Since 0.5.0 it is called 👥 Share with a colleague.

• 🎙️🎥📷 Quick capture during a call-out: three big buttons on the map, Record audio, Record video and Take photo, usable with one hand. They go into the call-out note (the one opened by the navigator, or the latest one from the last 2 hours); if there is none, one is created with place and time. Below the buttons you can see where they go.
• ✏️ Scene sketch in the note: road templates (straight, bend, crossroads, T-junction, roundabout), vehicles and pedestrians at real size, arrows, point of impact, signs, road markings, distances in metres and text. The call-out photos are shown alongside and each one can be linked to the point it was taken from (number on the plan). It is saved in the note as PDF, PNG image and editable data (JSON). It is a personal aid, not an official document.
• 🔒 Photos, videos and audio without hidden location data in the files; the microphone is only requested the first time you record, after an explanation.

✨ What's new in 0.2.1#

• 🚀 First launch fixed: the Get started button on the first screen can now be tapped on every phone (it could end up under the button bar).
• 💬 Suggestions and reports from the app, no email: the text reaches the developer on Google Firebase in Europe (Milan), any attachments (screenshot, images) go to Firebase file storage in the United States. Each message is sorted automatically with artificial intelligence (DeepSeek), which only receives the text — without email addresses, phone numbers, tax codes and IBANs, which the server removes first — plus the app's name and version.

2. First start#

The first time you open the app you see "Welcome to My112 Copilot":

1. Read what the app is: navigation for operators, a driving aid.
2. Read the emergency rule (🚨 box): - in EMERGENCY the app gives no speed-limit or speed-camera alerts and picks the fastest way; - exemption from limits only applies on urgent duty with emergency devices on, as traffic law allows (in Italy art. 177 of the Highway Code; elsewhere the equivalent local rule); - you must still drive with care; - don't hold the phone while driving.
3. Tick "I am at least 18 years old".
4. Tap "Got it, start".
5. The 📖 Quick guide opens: a few slides you swipe with your finger. You can see it again any time from ⚙ Settings.

ℹ️ In this version there is no ID-card check. So do not put operational or sensitive data in the app that you don't want to keep on the phone.

Android then asks for location permission: it is needed to navigate ("Location permission is needed to navigate").

3. The main screen#

The map is OpenStreetMap. The dot shows where you are.

4. NORMAL or EMERGENCY#

The big button at the top always tells you which state you are in.

• The app always opens in NORMAL: emergency never stays on by mistake.
• If you change state with an active route, the app recalculates straight away.
• In ⚙ Settings you find the explanation of the current state:
• "Normal: route with the usual limits and restrictions."
• "Emergency: reserved lanes and queues with a free lane don't slow the route. No limits or speed cameras."

🚨 Remember: exemption from limits only applies on urgent duty with emergency devices on. The app authorises nothing: you must still drive with care.

5. Car or motorbike#

One tap switches to the other vehicle; with an active route the app recalculates straight away.

🏍️ On the motorbike the voice comes from the phone's speaker: the app does not need an intercom or any device in the helmet. Only glance at the screen: big minutes, clear colours.

6. "Where do I go?"#

1. Tap ➤ Where do I go? at the bottom.
2. Type the address, place or coordinates, or tap the microphone 🎤 and say the address.
3. Tap the right result (TomTom search).
4. The route starts and the voice says, for example, "Emergency route: 7 minutes" (in NORMAL "Route calculated: 7 minutes").

📋 Open call-out and go. Below the search there is the tick 📋 Open call-out and go, on by default. When you choose the place (results show street and number, e.g. Via Giacomo Matteotti 39, Mercogliano (AV)) the navigator starts and the call-out sheet is created by itself in the 📁 Archive, with place, point and call time; on arrival the on scene time is added by itself. If you don't want it, untick it.

If nothing is found you see "No results".

7. Destination from WhatsApp#

A colleague or the control room sends you an address or a location? Send it straight to My112 Copilot.

1. In WhatsApp, SMS or email, long-press the message (address, location, Google Maps link or geo: link).
2. Tap Share and choose My112 Copilot.

8. On the way#

The route box appears at the bottom:

In EMERGENCY the box turns dark red.

Automatic recalculation - If you leave the route, the app says "Recalculating the route" and finds a new one. - For traffic it recalculates every 60 seconds in emergency and every 180 seconds in normal.

Short voice, only what matters: - "Emergency route: 7 minutes" - "Recalculating the route" - "You have arrived"

9. 📤 Send ETA#

During the route tap 📤 Send ETA and choose WhatsApp or another app. A message like this is prepared:

My112 Copilot: expected arrival in 7 min (10:42) at 10 Main Street. Current position: https://maps.google.com/?q=…

The message is sent only if you send it, to the person you choose.

10. 📁 Call-out archive#

Tap the red 🎙️ button on the right: the 📁 Call-out archive opens full page (in 0.1 it was called Duty diary), i.e. your notes day by day.

🏷️ What the notes are called. In ⚙ Settings → Name of the notes choose Site inspection, Call-out, Request for assistance or type a custom name. From then on all notes are called that: the button becomes, for example, 🎙️ Call-out and the suggested title Call-out · date. In this guide we simply call them "notes".

Call-out opened by the navigator#

With the tick 📋 Open call-out and go (see section 6) the sheet is created by itself when you set off: place, point, call time, and on arrival on scene. During the route open it with 📋 Open call-out (or 📋 Call-out sheet), next to 📤 Send ETA. Then complete it whenever you like: title or case, voice note, photos, videos.

If you go to the same address again within 12 hours, the same sheet reopens instead of a new one being created.

New note#

1. Tap the big 🎙️ button with the chosen name (e.g. 🎙️ Call-out): the new note opens. Dictation does not start by itself: type with the keyboard or tap the 🎤 next to the note and speak.
2. Type a title or case (e.g. Crash on Main St – case 123), or tap the 🎤 next to the title and dictate it.
3. The place (📍 Position) and the date are added automatically.
4. Each time you tap the microphone 🎤 you can dictate more: the text is added at the end.

Automatic times#

If a time is missing or wrong, tap it and correct it by hand.

Photos and videos#

🎙️ 🎥 📷 Quick capture#

During a call-out, at the bottom of the map:

Everything goes into the call-out note: the one opened by the navigator or, without the navigator, the latest note from the last 2 hours. If there is none, a new one is created with place and time. Below the buttons you can see which note they go into. Photos and videos are saved without hidden location data (EXIF); recordings stay in the note (🎙️ with the time: tap to listen). The same buttons are also inside the note.

The first time you record audio the app explains what the microphone is for and then asks for it; if you refused, it takes you to the phone settings.

✏️ Scene sketch#

In the note tap ✏️ Sketch: the full-screen drawing opens.

• Add from the tools at the bottom: 🛣️ Road (straight, bend, crossroads, T-junction, roundabout), 🚗 Vehicle (car, motorbike, truck, bus, bicycle…), 🚶 Pedestrian, ➡️ Arrow (before impact, after impact, skid mark), 💥 Impact, 🚦 Sign (signs, traffic light, zebra crossing, stop line), 📏 Measure, 🔤 Text, 🧭 North.
• Tap an item to select it: drag it with one finger to move it, use the handles to rotate (⟳) and stretch (↔) it. At the bottom: ⟲ ⟳ rotate by 15°, − + smaller or larger, ✏️ Edit (label, model, colour, lanes, measured distance…), ⧉ Duplicate, 🗑 Delete.
• Two fingers zoom and move the sheet; ⤢ shows everything; ↶ and ↷ undo and redo.
• Vehicles: type the model (e.g. Fiat Panda) and the app suggests the catalogue size; a measurement taken on site always counts more.
• Distances: type the measured value (e.g. 6.40 m); without it, the distance read from the drawing is marked "~".
• Photos: the note's photos are in the strip at the bottom; tap one to see it large above the drawing, then 📍 Link to the sketch and tap the point it was taken from: its number appears on the plan and can be turned towards where the camera was looking.
• 💾 saves schizzo.pdf and schizzo.png (A4 sheet with legend, linked photos, scale bar and north) and schizzo.json to reopen and edit it. Going back saves automatically.
• With a linked PC: if you saved a default template on the PC, a new sketch shows 📐 Default template from the PC (Use template / Start blank); if the sketch was completed on the PC, here you edit the parts the phone can draw and those made on the PC stay saved.

⚠️ The sketch is a personal aid for your notes, not an official document, and it is not to scale: measurements are taken on site. The yellow line in the editor and the sheet say so too.

The archive#

• Notes are grouped by day, with the date in big letters (📅).
• Each note shows time, title, start of the text, the 🕐 and 📍 times and how many photos 📷 and videos 🎬 it contains.
• Search the archive: by case, place or date.
• Next to every note there is the bin 🗑.
• At the top there is the 🖥️ PC button (🖥️ PC ✓ with a linked PC): it opens 🖥️ Link a PC. While syncing, the 🔄 Archive to PC bar appears (see chapter 14).

Sending a note#

• Tap 📤 Send and choose email, Google Drive, WhatsApp or any app: the text (title, date, position with link) goes with the photos and videos.
• ✉️ Favourite emails: if you saved an address in ⚙ Settings (e.g. the office email), the note shows a ✉️ Send to … button: one tap sends it there.

Exporting the archive#

Then choose where to send it: email, Drive, WhatsApp…

Deleting a note#

Tap the bin 🗑 next to the note (or 🗑 Delete inside the note): the app asks for confirmation before deleting. Its photos and videos are deleted too, and it can't be undone.

🔒 Notes stay on the phone only until you send them, or until you link a PC (chapter 14): then they go through the server end-to-end encrypted, unreadable for the developer. For duty data always follow your command's rules.

11. 📞 Quick calls#

Tap 📞 on the right of the map: the call buttons appear.

• Emergency 112 is always there.
• Below are your buttons, with name and number (e.g. Control room).
• One tap opens the phone with the number already dialled: the call starts only when you press call.

Adding a button: ⚙ Settings → 📞 Quick calls, type the button name and the number or tap 👥 From contacts, then ➕ Add.

12. 📍 Share my location#

Tap 📍 on the right of the map and choose WhatsApp, SMS, email or another app. A message like this is prepared:

It sends your position at that moment, only if you send it, to the person you choose. Live location for a period of time is not there yet: it is coming soon.

13. Settings#

Tap ⚙ on the right.

↩️ To leave Settings (and a note's sheet) tap ✕ Back to the app at the top or ← Back to the app at the bottom.

Suggestions and reports work as in Robot CoPilot: - type the text or dictate it with the microphone; - you can attach the app screen, up to 3 images from the gallery and the app's latest errors; - tap Send: the message goes straight to the developer, no email needed.

14. 🖥️ My112 on the PC#

On the office PC the phone's archive opens in the browser, with nothing to install: autorobotcopilot.web.app/my112/pc. Bookmark the page: the address never changes.

Linking phone and PC#

1. On the PC open the address: a QR code and an 8-character code appear, valid for 3 minutes (if it expires, 🔄 New code). On a shared PC untick Remember this PC.
2. On the phone tap ⚙ Settings → 🖥️ Link a PC (or the 🖥️ PC button at the top of the 📁 Archive), then 📷 Scan the PC's QR or type the code. On Android the QR is read by the Google Play scanner, without giving the app camera permission; on iPhone with the camera.
3. Check the PC's name (e.g. Chrome · Windows) and tap Link.
4. Compare the digits: phone and PC show 6 digits. If they are the same tap ✅ They match on the phone; if they differ tap ✖ They differ and the link is cancelled. Only after this confirmation does the PC receive the archive key.
5. The phone sends the whole archive (🔄 Archive to PC bar). After that it syncs by itself while the app is open; 🖥️ Linked PCs also has 🔄 Sync now and 📥 Receive from PC.

What you do on the PC#

The sketch on the PC#

• Full editor with mouse and keyboard: roads, vehicles and pedestrians, road signs, arrows and skid marks, impact, dimensions, text, photo points, layers, grid, undo and redo; photos alongside and accident data.
• Save: into the archive note; the sketch goes back to the phone with PNG and A4 and A3 PDFs.
• Save as…: a .my112schizzo file on the PC or on a USB stick, optionally protected by a password (without the password the file won't open and cannot be recovered).
• Open…: a .my112schizzo file, the phone's schizzo.json or a scene from the “incidenti” program.
• Templates… and Save as default: starting drawings and data to reuse; you can rename, delete, export and import them to a file. The default is offered at every New sketch, on the phone too. Date, time, place, accident data and the note's photos are not included in the template.

Keeping a note on the phone only#

In the note tap 🚫 Don't send to PC: the note doesn't go to the PC and is removed from the server. To send it again tap 🖥️ Send this to the PC too. To give a single note to a colleague there is 👥 Share with a colleague (link and code).

Signing a PC out#

• On the phone, ⚙ Settings → 🖥️ Linked PCs: Sign out for one PC or Sign out of all PCs. The PC loses access immediately and the archive key changes.
• On the PC: 🚪 Sign out of this PC.
• A PC stays linked for at most 30 days, then you link it again with the QR; you can link up to 5 PCs.
• In 🖥️ Linked PCs you choose when notes are deleted from the server (7, 30 or 90 days after the last upload) and 🗑 Remove everything from the server removes them at once. They all stay on the phone.

🔒 Security. The archive is end-to-end encrypted: everything is encrypted on the phone and the key is known only to the phone and to the PCs you linked after comparing the 6 digits. The server (Google Firebase: database in Milan, files in the United States) only stores unreadable data; the GPS location of the notes is not uploaded. Only link a PC that is in front of you and that you trust. My112 Copilot is an independent, unofficial app: for duty data your command's rules always apply, on the PC too.

15. 📱 My112 Copilot on iPhone#

The iPhone version is coming soon to the App Store: it is under review by Apple. It has the same screens and the same features as the Android version:

• 📁 Call-out archive with automatic times, photos and videos, 🎙️ 🎥 📷 quick capture and ✏️ scene sketch;
• 🖥️ Link a PC (the QR is read with the camera), the 🖥️ PC button in the Archive, 🚫 Don't send to PC and 👥 Share with a colleague;
• 🎤 dictation in notes, search and suggestions, with Apple speech recognition (if it isn't available, use the keyboard microphone);
• 💡 Suggest an improvement and 🐞 Report a problem in ⚙ Settings, which reach the developer as on Android;
• destination from a location link opened with My112 Copilot and ← Back to the app at the bottom of Settings.

The iPhone asks for location to navigate and, only when needed, for microphone, speech recognition and camera.

17. Safe use#

• 📱 Phone in a holder, never in your hand while driving.
• 🚨 EMERGENCY only on urgent duty with emergency devices on. Otherwise stay on NORMAL.
• 👀 The app infers where traffic weighs less: a reserved lane may be blocked. You always decide, with care.
• 📻 The service radio and official procedures remain the main channel.
• 🏍️ On the motorbike: big buttons, voice from the phone, nothing to read while riding.

18. Frequently asked questions#

Why does it always open in NORMAL? For safety: emergency is switched on only when you choose it, every time.

In EMERGENCY does the app use closed roads? No: closed roads are avoided. Only slowdowns and queues weigh less.

Do I need an intercom in the helmet? No. The voice comes from the phone's speaker and the key data (minutes, arrival) are big on the screen.

Do my notes end up on the internet? No, not until you tap 📤 Send and choose where to send them. If you link a PC, the archive goes through the server end-to-end encrypted: only your phone and the PCs you linked can read it.

What if I lose the connection? The route cannot be calculated: you see "Route not available: check your connection".

Where has the Duty diary gone? Since 0.2 it is called 📁 Call-out archive: you still open it with the red 🎙️ button.

Does the 📞 button call by itself? No: it opens the phone with the number already dialled. The call starts only when you press call.

Can I use My112 Copilot on a PC? Yes: open autorobotcopilot.web.app/my112/pc and link it from the phone with ⚙ Settings → 🖥️ Link a PC (chapter 14).

Is there an iPhone version? Yes, it is coming soon to the App Store: it is under review by Apple (chapter 15).
